TU Delft - AI for Health & Care

The world faces many pressing healthcare challenges such as a shortage of healthcare workers, increasing health inequalities, and emerging threats from global pandemics. Our research at TU Delft looks at how artificial intelligence can help to tackle these challenges. Existing AI can outperform humans in areas such as pattern recognition, but it falls short in tasks that require human skills, such as common-sense reasoning, and responsibility - and more innovation is needed. We design and develop hybrid AI solutions for healthcare, which optimally combine artificial and human intelligence. We apply them to domains such as personalised precision medicine, the orchestration of healthcare, and medical data sharing. TU Delft's mission is to enable radical innovation in health, well-being, and healthcare.
